| HealthWorks
Northwest, Inc. started in July,
2001 to meet the growing demand of employers
in Washington and Oregon. HealthWorks
Northwest is an occupational health
clinic in Longview, Washington providing
employers with a host of services that
enable them to make informed hiring
decisions, maintain and improve health
and safety regulatory compliance and
provide a safe and healthy working environment.
What We Do
Through a variety of pre-employment
services such as drug testing, physicals
and strength testing, employers can
make informed hiring decisions. HealthWorks
Northwest can help by providing pre-employment
drug screening, respiratory fit testing,
pre-employment physical examinations,
strength testing and other health
and safety evaluations.
Some companies are required by state
or federal agencies to comply with
health and safety regulations. Such
agencies include, the Department of
Transportation, Occupational Safety
and Health Administration (OSHA) and
state occupational safety and health
agencies such as Washington Industrial
Safety and Health Administration (WISHA),
or Oregon Occupational Health and
Safety Administration (OR-OHSA). HealthWorks
Northwest helps companies that need
to comply with these regulations by
providing DOT-approved random, post-accident
and for-cause drug screening, hearing
evaluations and hearing conservation
programs, respiratory compliance evaluation
and monitoring and annual physical
examinations.
Our Mission
HealthWorks Northwest will provide
health services to the working world
in our communities. We will do this
by understanding the needs of our
employer customers and becoming an
effective partner in meeting or exceeding
their needs for health information,
treatment and care of their employees.
Our Goal
Our goal is to help employers reduce
worker injuries, assist with compliance
of state and federal regulations,
and to help companies develop a safe,
productive work environment for their
employees. Our business is based on four simple
facts:
1. Healthy employees are more productive
than chronically ill employees.
2. It costs less to prevent injuries
or illnesses than to treat them after
they occur.
3. When injury does occur, employers
need an effective return-to-work plan
for their employees
4. In order to operate in Washington
and Oregon, employers must meet many
state and federal safety and health
regulations, therefore, HealthWorks
Northwest is their key to success.
Helping employers maintain compliance
with these regulations ensures that
they remain safe, viable businesses.
By helping employees recognize particular
health and safety risks at the workplace,
HealthWorks Northwest will lower companies'
health care expenditures, while raising
worker productivity. Health care expenditures
will decrease due to reduced medical
insurance premiums, reduced absenteeism,
reduced turnover rates, reduced worker's
compensation claims, reduced tardiness
and shorter hospital stays, to name
a few. |
